Deep asleep

One of Nora's favourite sleeping positions. As you can see it is quite practical. I still have both hands free to do some reading and drinking ;-).
She can easily sleep like this for two hours in a row so I am really making progress with my book (which by the way is a very good book: Russian Novel by Meir Shalev).
Ps. note the little hole in her chin (a Breman characteristic).

Great Gandmothers

Today Nora payed a visit to her great grandmother Breman in Apeldoorn. Her great grandmother Van Doorn from Deventer had already payed her a visit some weeks ago. Below you can see both pictures of the different generations. The first picture is grandma Wijnbergen (Anne's family), the one below is grandma Breman.

The magic bag

Nora's favourite passtime is spending time in the magic bag. Even when she is very stressed, busy, crying or grumpy, the bag calms her down.
As you can see she spends her time sleeping and thinking. Sometimes with a very intelligent and serene expression on her face (not necessarily always though).
We believe she is having some very profound reflections on sofisticated matters at these moments which of course is very promising for the rest of her life ;-).
It is also very well thought that she picks her time for these matters right now in the first months of her life because I don't know for how long I will be able to carry her around like this in the future.

Uitgaan en slapen

Met het mooie weer van de laatste dagen zijn we lekker naar buiten geweest. Een lekker eind gewandeld, op het terras gegeten en gedronken, en bij thuiskomst onze roes weer uitgeslapen onder de appelboom. Bij deze enkele impressies.

Aproveitamos do bom tempo dos ultimos dias para sair, para fazer passeios a pe e para 'beber um copo' numa esplanada. Ao voltar a casa dormimos um pouco abaixo da macieira. Aqui vao algumas imagens.

Dagelijkse beslommeringen

Even iets over onze activiteiten van de laatste dagen. Wat Nora betreft is het vrij simpel: die slaapt (veel) en drinkt (veel) en poept (over het algemeen veel, de laatste 12 uur iets minder). Ook is ze vandaag voor het eerst mee naar buiten geweest op een wandeling naar de stad. Dat was voor ons echter enerverender dan voor haar want zij heeft vooral weer veel geslapen.
Wat onszelf betreft: wij slapen (iets minder dan Nora, dat wel), vangen zo nu en dan wat kraambezoek op en schuiven dan weer eens een beschuit met muisjes naar binnen, draaien verrassend veel witte wasjes (die we ivm. het regenachtige weer en bij gebrek aan droger steeds weer opnieuw ophangen en afhalen) en zijn een groot deel van de tijd ook vooral nog bezig om bewonderend naar onze dochter te kijken. Van dat laatste getuigen de bijgaande foto's. Maar wees gerust, ons blikveld verruimt zich al weer wat. We raken ook al weer een beetje geinteresseerd in wat er om ons heen gebeurt ;-).
