Winter

Hier wat winterse tafereeltjes uit Wageningen van gisteren. Het was hier schitterend! Ook vandaag is het weer mooi. Lekker naar buiten. Let op de Mexicaanse invloed in dit geheel (de draagdoek).

And now for something completely different!

Dat is andere koek! Tijd voor wat nieuws. Zachtgekookte broccoli, worteltjes, augurken of een ondefinieerbaar oranje papje. Het gaat er in als ketelapper.

Weekends

It is still no common practice but now and then we learn to stay in bed a little bit longer, especially in the weekends. A fine moment for a photo shoot.
Here you can compare some foto's of this saturday with similar photo's from 5 months ago. As you can see, we are all a bit older (we about twice as much as Nora ;-)).
We are all doing fine and enjoying the nice winter weather of this week. Enjoying it even more after my weathercourse last saturday for SNP. Bad weather does not exist, just interesting weather. Anyway, we will now go out for a walk.

Different faces

This time, some different faces of Nora. It looks like she is getting her first tooth and she is not always completely happy with that as you can see in the pictures. She is also a bit reluctant to show them so we are still not completely sure that it is a tooth coming or something else.
Anyway, she is still doing fine, and so are we. Just two more weeks before the christmas holidays and we are looking forward to those. In January I will start with my new job at Alterra.

at the kindergarten, Nora is still in the mood for jokes! Every monday and wednesday she goes to 'Pipeloi', where she's busy all day with playing, sleeping and drinking.

Aqui vao mais umas imagens da nossa Nora. Especialmente para os amigos Portugueses que ha muito tempo nao falamos. Espero que estejam todos bem e felizes. Ja em pleno outono aqui na Holanda as vezes temos saudades do sol do Alentejo. Mas suponho que ai tambem ja comeca a estar mais frio.
Dentro da casa a Nora aquece a nossa vida como podem ver nas fotos. Aqui tem um ar muito serio mas ela esta muito alegre e bem disposta. Como nos ;-)

Vivam!
Too long ago that we have uploaded some images. Busy times.
Work, childcare, sport (yes we have started with orienteering again) and coping with flu and viruses that are swirling in and around the house.
Still, in spite of the hectic period we are all doing fine. Autumn has arrived with rain, wind, nice colours and fresh temperatures. In a few weeks Sinterklaas will also show up but so far Nora does not have a clue yet. Still she might learn quick enough as she continues to observe and absorb with all her senses. Fascinating!

Holidays

Hello everybody,

Last weekend we had our first (short) holiday with the three of us. We went to a small hotel in Groningen in the north of the Netherlands in a former convent.
A very quiet and serene atmosphere which had a relaxing impact on us. Even though it took us some effort to convince Nora that it really was meant to be a quiet atmosphere.
We did some walking in the surroundings but most of all we tried to sleep, relax, read books (Nora as well although she did not yet finish her book), eat very well and recover from a cold. On sunday we had a short tour through the surroundings and ended up by visiting Nora's aunt Anne Katrien in the city of Groningen. All in all a very pleasant weekend in which Nora practiced her first Star Trek imitation as you can see in the pictures.

Lachen, gieren, brullen

De laatste dagen zijn enigszins vermoeiend omdat Nora haar ritme van drinken en slapen wat kwijt lijkt te zijn sinds de buikgriep van vorige week. Dat betekent dat ze over het algemeen toch weer wat korter slaapt en vaker brult om drinken. Vooral 's nachts is dat nog wel eens even slikken maar we hopen dat ze haar draai snel weer te pakken heeft. Haar humeur lijdt er in ieder geval niet onder zoals jullie op de foto's kunnen zien. Aangezien ze zo goed gemutst is en volop lacht is het voor ons eigenlijk ook nog steeds wel te doen. Wel bijtijds naar bed maar nu het weer vroeger donker wordt is dat ook niet echt een probleem.

Hello everybody,
It has been a week or so since the last images were put on this blog. Here there are some new ones. One still from Nora with her niece Anouk who is now back in Tuxpan, Mexico. One from a few weeks ago, Nora sitting on Anne's arm, and two from Nora with her hat which she had on a few days ago when it was already getting fresh here. Some special attention from Anouk for the hat with 'Nijntje' on it ;-).
